Infertility means when a couple is unable to conceive inspite of trying for > 12 months. It could be because of female factors, male factors, combination of both or unexplained.

When to get a Fertility Assessment?

A couple should get themselves examined by Gynaecologist if

• they are unable to conceive even after trying for > 12 months
• female ≥ 35 years
• previous history of abortion
• associated medical / genetic problems in either of the partners

Treatment of Infertility ranges from simple planned relations to Ovulation Induction(OI) and Follicular Study(FS) with planned relation, IntraUterine Insemination (IUI) or advanced procedures like InVitro Fertilization(IVF) and Embryo Tranfer(ET).
